Post Carbon Fellow Richard Heinberg's presentation at the University of Western Australia was reported in this post at Science Network Western Australia.
From the article:
Mr Heinberg argues that continuous growth of both human population and GDP is impossible in a finite world, with both these trends now placing serious strain on the natural world and the quality of life for many populations across the world.
“What I’m describing is not the end of the world. It’s the ending of a brief anomalous period in human history during which we grew our population and our consumption at dramatic and unprecedented levels,” he says.
