The Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development will present a community capital forum, a day of learning led by economist Michael Shuman, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Ann Arbor campus of Cleary University.
The morning session, "An Introduction to Advancing Local Prosperity" from 9 to 10:30 a.m. is free and open to the public. However, seating is limited and pre-registration is required. The afternoon session is an in-depth workshop, "The Nuts & Bolts of Local Capital" and includes small group discussions. The cost is $25, and includes lunch. An RSVP is required. Register here.
