Nate Hagens
Board Member
Nate Hagens is editor of The Oil Drum, one of the most popular and highly-respected websites in the world for analysis and discussion of global energy supplies and their implications for the future. Previously, Nate was President of Sanctuary Asset Management, Managing Director of Pension Research Institute, and Vice President at Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers. Nate is completing a PhD in Natural Resources at the Gund Institute at the University of Vermont. His thesis explores pathways towards resilience as global fossil fuel resources decline, and integrates both biophysical and cultural/biological limitations and opportunities. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.
