Important information about your tax-deductable donation (US only)

From May 2006 onwards, having gained 501c3 status in the United States, Post Carbon Institute is now able to guarantee our generous supporters tax deductible donations! (At present, we are only able to offer this service for donors in the US.)

We will send you a tax receipt in the mail for all donations of $100 or more. Keep this tax receipt for your records, as the IRS may request it later. This receipt guarantees that your donation is a charitable contribution.

Although we are only legally required by the IRS to mail out written tax receipt for donations of $250 or more, we are issuing tax receipts for lesser amounts to help out as many of our donors as possible. We regret that we are not able to send tax receipts for amounts less than $100.
