Gov. Sarah Palin introduces Daniel Lerch Post Carbon Cities Manager

DL in HomerPost Carbon Cities Program Manager and author Daniel Lerch was the keynote speaker at the annual Alaska Renewable Energy Fair on Saturday 9 August 2008 in Anchorage, Alaska. Lerch was introduced by Alaska Governor (and as of 29 August, Republican Vice Presidential candidate) Sarah Palin, who addressed Fair attendees on the challenges Alaska faces in an era of rising oil prices.

Lerch was interviewed by Alaska Public Radio Network ahead of his presentation. His appearances in Alaska included:

Daniel Lerch is the author of Post Carbon Cities: Planning for Energy and Climate Uncertainty, the first major local government guidebook on peak oil and global warming. He has delivered presentations and workshops on energy uncertainty to elected officials, city planners and other audiences across the United States, as well as in Canada, Ireland and the UK.

Renewable Energy Alaska Project is a coalition of urban and rural and Alaska utilities, businesses, conservation and consumer groups, and Alaska Natives with an interest in developing Alaska's vast renewable energy resources.

Sustainable Homer is a community organization working to enhance the long-term quality of life for citizens of the Homer area by promoting a healthy natural environment, a prosperous economy, and an equitable community.
