It may be worth pushing for a Shoreline version of the resolutions that have been adopted in San Francisco and Portland. As I am not actually in Shoreline, though, I will have to leave making this one happen to those who are actually in Shoreline.

I don't actually think these resolutions accomplish much, except for one thing, which is very important at this stage: they raise public awareness about Peak Oil and make it become part of the discussions in the larger community. We need this to happen if we ever hope to make any significant change.
