transition US update
A monthly update from the US regional hub of the international Transition movement.
The 350 Home & Garden Challenge on May 14 & 15, 2011, is only two weeks away! From coast to coast, in urban and rural communities, in backyards and on abandoned lots, school yards and window sills -- individuals, and even whole communities, are signing up to pick up their shovels and plant food, green homes, save water and build community. We're seeing the momentum build as more and more actions are being added to the map each day. We've passed the 350 mark on our way to our bold audacious goal of 2000 actions - browse the map of actions across the country and add your action.
This month we also welcome two new official Transition Initiatives in Massachussetts Greening Greenfield Energy Committee & Somerville Climate Action. Read the April Roundup of What's Happening in the World of Transition for more and find an initiative near you. |
