What's happening? We'll tell you what's happening:
* We're well into production of our "Shared Future" presentation ( see Asher's blog). Thanks to your feedback, we're confident that we'll produce a powerful and customizable slide deck that you will be able to deliver in your community to educate and inspire. Already, nearly 100 of you have signed up as presenters!
* Also in the hopper is the new book by PCI's Local Economics Fellow Michael Shuman. You've helped us with the title: Local Dollars, Local Sense: How to Shift Your Money from Wall Street to Main Street and Achieve Real Prosperity. Thank you! This will be the first of three Resilience Guides, slated for staggered release starting in February 2012.
* Senior Fellow Richard Heinberg returned home only yesterday from the road, where he delivered well-attended "End of Growth" talks in Kansas City, Salina, Salt Lake City and Jackson, Wyoming. This great video interview, shot in Richard's back yard, gives a wonderful sneak peek into Richard's domestic life... take a look!
* A whole lot more... see below.
Now you know a little bit about what we're doing. Your turn. Tell us what you're up to! >> media@postcarbon.org

transition US update
A monthly update from the US regional hub of the international Transition movement.
Thanks to everyone who tuned in to our live call with Rob Hopkins on September 12th, hosted by Vicki Robin, on "Exploring the Ingredients of Transition." Rob answered questions about how the movement is evolving, right down to the nitty-gritty of intiatives developing social enterprises to support the local economy. Listen to the recording online.
On October 25th, we'll be hosting a special live call with Chris Martenson, author of The Crash Course: The Unsustainable Future Of Our Economy, Energy, And Environment. Check out the details and register now to join the conversation.
Despite the lack of leadership from government towards climate change, and recently the Tar Sands, Transition Initiatives across the country mobilized their communities to get out their rusty bicycles, and join the international effort around Moving Planet - read the September Roundup of What's Happening in the World of Transition for more stories. Finally, we're waiting with baited breath to see who will be our 100th official Transition Initiative! Do you know a group interested in taking the next step?
