The Flathead Valley Outpost (a.k.a. Valley Action Center) is off and running, having had a successful first event that drew close to a hundred concerned and curious communitiy members last evening. It was the Center's kick-off event-- a "Summer Sustainability Celebration"-- that included speakers, a pot luck dinner, and activities for the children in attendance. Sign up sheets gathered names of citizens with interests in transportation, housing, building, finance, food production, and energy production/consumption. LET THE NETWORKING BEGIN! Way to go Valley Action Center; your well-intentioned hub is now sprouting spokes of support.
