Reduce Consumption : Produce Locally

bio fuel in nevada county

I hope this is the correct forum....

I am in the midst of researching biodiesel...or any reliable alternative form of fueling a personal vehicle.

If anyone can help simplify and point me in direction of fuel, cars most dependable and/or info regarding fuel alternatives to dino oil.

Think I would need a local source of bio fuel--Nevada county. Think I would like to have a barrel in my yard. How do people go long distances in a world that has gas stations?

What about the idea of going to fast food places for fuel/recycle oil. The grease.com makes me feel taht i could filter the oil directly in my car filtering.
When this gets popular...am I going to be hopping all over town trying to find a source of fuel?

Would like to purchase a relatively new or new car that helps me/my family and does not cause as much detruction to our world!

Help this ol' newbie! Thanks
