Local 20/20 presents Julian Darley in Port Townsend, WA - August 17th, 7PM:
"A Regional Presentation and Community Dialog:
Relocalization - The Power of Community Responses to Energy Issues"
Body:
Local 20/20 is privileged to have Julian Darley present positive options that communities anywhere can implement to address the changing and challenging dynamics of energy availability and distribution. Clearly, any changes in energy supply and demand, as we have seen at the gas pumps and in our propane tanks, will have profound economic and lifestyle impacts. The sooner we examine and prepare for those changes, the better we'll be able to accommodate the effects on our daily lives and assist in the transition our children will face. Julian presents the positive side to what many others view from a negative perspective.
Tickets are on sale now at The Coop, Quimper Sound and Common Grounds (Chimacum). The price is only $10 to attend this exciting event. So be sure and get your ticket early! (Your ticket will also get you a Compact Fluorescent Light bulb.)
NOTE: Following our event on August 17th, Julian will also be the keynote speaker at Sustainable Everett's Renewable Energy Symposium and Expo being held on August 18th and 19th. For more on this event, see http://www.sustainableeverett.com/
