In Next Generation Infrastructure: Principles for Post-Industrial Public Works, Hillary Brown highlights how land use professionals can adapt holistic approaches and systems-thinking to make smarter decisions about revamping outdated infrastructure.

As founding Principal of New Civic Works and Architecture Professor at the City College in New York, Hillary focuses on infrastructure as highly connected systems that work better together, resulting in projects that are more cost effective, less environmentally damaging, and more resilient. She currently serves on the National Research Council of the National Academies Board on Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment and is a Fellow of the Post-Carbon Institute.
