- Staff
Hajar joined Post Carbon Institute in 2025 as a contractor. She serves as Project Lead for the initiative Weaving an Ecosystem of Community Responses to the Unraveling, where she helps steward a growing mycelial web of organizations across Turtle Island working to strengthen community resilience amid converging ecological, economic, and social crises. In this role, she supports collaboration and shared learning, helps articulate a shared narrative, and nurtures a culture of care and accountability across the ecosystem.
As a storyteller and ecosystem weaver, Hajar’s work focuses on cultivating the relationships, narratives, and pathways that nurture the conditions for place-based ecological, social, and spiritual regeneration. She also serves on the boards of Shareable and Gaia Education and is a member of the Global Council of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance and the Eco-Civ Coalition. Previously, she worked as an ecosystem weaver with the Synergia Institute, supporting efforts to identify and cultivate the conditions from which “islands of coherence” can emerge, learn from one another, and reinforce each other.
Hajar is currently rooted in Casablanca, Morocco. She enjoys surfing, stargazing, and letting poetry flow through her.
