Post Carbon Advisor Mia Birk was quoted in this article about Portland and Seattle’s upcoming bike sharing programs.

Mia Birk, Alta’s president, said both the Portland program, confirmed in December, and the Seattle offering are set to launch next spring. However, there’s no timetable as to which effort will start first.
“That’s one way to put it,” said Birk when asked whether the two cities are in a bike-share race. “but we’re excited about coordinating the sponsorships and roll-outs in both cities.”
