Gilding in The Mercury on small thinking
July 26, 2013
Post Carbon Fellow Paul Gilding’ s talk to a local government conference in Hobart, Tasmania was reported in The Mercury (Australia).
From the article:
SUSTAINABILITY should form the foundation of a strong Tasmanian economy, one of the world’s leading environmental advocates says.
The former global head of Greenpeace, Paul Gilding, who now lives at Cygnet south of Hobart, told members at yesterday’s local government conference in Hobart that Tasmania needed to move away from large-scale production and commodities and instead focus on smaller, more sustainable pursuits.
"From China to Tasmania, people are realising that sustainability is not a luxury but is the foundation of a strong economy and society," Mr Gilding said.
